Families of the Church

Aim: To bolster the families of the church, as the church, the family of God.

Doctrine: God wonderfully blesses the families of the church. He has a place for them (near His heart) and has a job for them to do (that is very important).

Exegesis: How the Lord encourages the families of the church: they get to occupy His beautiful city (vv. 4-5a); they are part of His redeemed treasure (vv. 5b-6); they are also specific persons (saved by grace) (v. 7a).

Further application: How Nehemiah models (for us) support of the families of the church: by moving everyone closer to Christ and His house of worship, we all grow stronger in Jesus (by grace through faith).
