The purpose(s) of the church can be understood as the immediate, intermediate, and ultimate purposes that follow: 1) The immediate purpose of the church is to evangelize the lost, 2) The intermediate purpose of the church is to teach and rouse one another to love and obey God, and 3) The ultimate purpose is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. We also answer the question, "When should I leave a church?"
