The Geneology of Esau Part 2

And it starts in Genesis 5:1, "Now these are the records of the generations of Adam."

Then you have it again in 6:9, "Now these are the records of the generations of Noah"

Then you have it again in 10:1, "These are the records of the generations of Shem, Ham and Japheth."

Then you have it in chapter 11 verse 10, "Now these are the records of the generations of Shem".

Then chapter 11 verse 27, "Now these are the records of the generations of Terra", which leads to Abraham.

Then you have it in 25:12, "These are the records of the generations of Ishmael".

25:19, "Now these are the records of the generations of Isaac."

Then you have it again, 36:1 and 9, right here, "These are the records of the generations of Esau".

And 37:2, the next chapter, you have, "These are the records of the generation of Jacob".

And it [These are the records...] seems to be one of the organizing principles of Genesis.
