God's imputed righteousness to David without works!

🗡️ Sermon delivered at Pilgrim Baptist Church on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at 11:15 am. 🗡️

This KJV sermon is based on Romans 4:6-8 where Paul brings in David as an O.T. witness.

Paul seeks to prove from the O.T. that David was NOT justified before God by works.

Yes, David was a man after God's own heart. Yes, David had more wins than losses for God. But David also fell into deep, dark sin. This makes it impossible for God to justify David by works.

This sermon will take a look at David's own testimony in Psalms 32 and Psalms 51 and seeks to prove from the Bible that no man can earn God's love. Instead, God freely offers it to all who would believe and receive.

Christ didn't die a death He deserved. Christ died a death you and I deserved. Christ did that so that your iniquity and your sin could be paid for.

All those who receive the free gift of God's grace also receive a pronouncement of righteousness from God. God takes away your sin and replaces it with his righteousness.
