God's People are Built upon Christ

1)Amazing Privilege – v9
Israel had the privilege and blessing of being God’s people.
2)Persistent Rebellion – vv10-12
Israel continually disobeyed God and persecuted the prophets God sent to call them to repentance.
3)Ultimate Rejection – vv13-15a
Israel rejected Jesus as God’s chosen King by putting him to death.
4)National Judgment – vv15b-17
Israel loses its position as the risen Christ becomes the foundation of the new covenant people of God consisting of believing Jews & Gentiles.
5)Universal Truth – v18
Everyone who rejects King Jesus will face eternal destruction.
