Knowing the terror of the Lord, we persuade men

In this passage, Paul told the Corinthians, we are made manifest unto the Lord, God knows the integrity and sincerity of our hearts in our ministry to you, and we trust that you also know the integrity and sincerity of our hearts toward you.

And then Paul wrote, we are not commending ourselves, but we are giving you an opportunity to answer the false teachers that are among you, who would turn you away from Christ, who have no integrity, nor any sincerity in their hearts toward you.
