Genesis 28:10-17 - Jacob's Ladder: A Picture of God's Sovereignty and Salvation

Rich Suplita, our guest speaker and the driving force behind the Ask a Former Atheist evangelism and apologetics ministry, delivered the message for the worship service near the beginning of our 9-day-long outreach at the North Dakota State Fair.

Rich continued our series in Genesis, picking up in ch. 28 when Jacob journeys to Paddan-aram to the people of his mother Rebekah to find a wife from among them instead of among the Canaanites. Along the way, Jacob encounters God and sees the famous "ladder."

Rich discusses what Jacob's ladder is, taking us eventually into John's gospel, and then how we ought to respond, using Paul's letter to the Romans.
