03-Introduction

Without faith it is impossible to please [God], for whoever
would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he
rewards those who seek him (Heb. 12:6).
Mixing believers and unbelievers in 'public worship' does
immense harm, not least to the unbelievers themselves:
The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open
to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do
evil (1 Pet. 3:12).
