The Peril of Pride

The King must be humble. Uzziah was a strong king whose great weakness was that strength, which led him to pride, which in turn led to fanaticism and his fall. What a contrast with Christ, who humbled himself! Uzziah became a leper, Christ cleanses his people from the leprosy of sin.
