Human Corruption (Part 1)

The story of Esther is short and simple, but it drives home the same message: God is in control – even if we can't see Him in action. We've already watched God behind the scenes in human conduct, and human culture. Today we'll see God behind the scenes in human corruption.

At every step, the Bible uses irony to emphasize that people's small view of history is no match for God's view from the eternal present. God is not the author of evil, but He will not let evil thwart His will. In fact, He uses it to demonstrate His sovereignty.
