Abhor Evil Cleave to Good
In this message, we continue our look at a True Believer. We had previously look at a true believer and the Word, using Paul as our example. Then, we looked at the true believer and the Commission. Today, we will look at the True believer and the need to Abhor evil and cleave to that which is good. Abhorring and Cleaving is a choice which believers make. The choice is made because of Christlikeness. The choice is not just a casual feeling, it is made with intensity. In this message, we define cleaving and abhorring. We define evil. We remember God is the one who determines what is evil. We discuss why the believer abhors evil. We look at the type of evil Jesus abhorred. We discuss how evil resides in the heart. Also, we take a brief look at cleaving to that which is good. We see how Christ went about doing good. We discuss doing good according to Philippians 4:8. We are to cleave to that which is good.
