A Man of Sorrows

Written at a time of difficulty for David, when he faced his enemies, the Lord's servant pours out his heart unto God and pleads for God to hear him. Whilst he prays for deliverance from his many troubles there are also elements of confession and of praise. Verses from this Psalm are quoted in the New Testament, so beyond the writer, David, we can perceive the sufferings of Christ.
