The Unjust Judge - Part 1

William Law said that the closest we draw to Christ in this life is by prayer. How we need Him! And how we need to know and learn continually the effectual power there is in prayer.

The "all prayer" in Ephesians 6:18 refers to all types of prayer--prayer of every sort. There is a bold prayer (Hebrews 4:16), a penitent prayer (Psalm 51), prayer for wisdom (James 1), intercessory prayer (John 17), prayer in anxiety (Philippians 4), and still more.

We are so prone to faint under adversity; prayer keeps us from fainting. And while there are the occasional "shocks" in Christianity that tempt us to faint, it is the long, slow trial that sorely tempts us to quit. How we need the Lord to teach us to pray, and not faint! Christ is our example.
