For broadcasters who want to produce a faith-based podcast series and publish it on Sermon Audio, we've provided some additional settings pertaining to podcasts in the series editor, which can be found in the Podcast Settings tab. When a new series is opened in the editor, this tab's content might seem a bit sparse. This is because the series has not yet been designated as a podcast, so the settings that are relevant to podcasts will not be available by default. To designate your series as a podcast, you'll need to check the box labeled Make this a podcast. Series that are classified as podcasts are organized into a separate podcast section on the Sermon Audio website and app, and have their own dedicated page on your solo site. Right below the podcast publication setting is the RSS feed URL, which is used to submit your podcast series to third-party podcast directories. It can also technically be used to subscribe to a series, even if the series is not designated as a podcast. Let's go ahead and check the box to make the series a podcast. Some additional settings will become available, which pertain exclusively to podcast series. The podcast contact email that you specify here will be included in the RSS feed for your series, which some third-party podcast directories use to verify your podcast submission. You can specify a podcast speaker, which will also be included in the RSS feed. This should be a speaker that is of primary significance to the series, such as a podcast host. The Podcast Platform URLs section is where you can construct a list of external platforms where your podcast can be found. For each item in the list, you can select from a handful of popular podcast platforms, or you can specify a custom label for the listed platform. you'll need to provide the URL for each platform in your list. Once this list is configured, the list of platforms will be displayed on the Series page on the Sermon Audio website, as well as on your Solo site.
