Jesus Christ—the Man of sorrows

There may be many occasions in which we draw the wrong conclusions from outward appearances, but no others on which our eternal life depends than the judgement we make about the Man of sorrows. What does this name actually mean? Why is this name given to Jesus Christ? And, why should this name be so precious to us?
