Our Hope in Christ

False prophets had apparently tied the hopes of the Thessalonians so tightly to an imminent return of Christ that they did not know what to think about believers who had died. Paul did not want the Thessalonians to worry about what would happen to these saints. Whether believers have already died in the Lord, or are alive when Jesus returns, Christ's resurrection affords Christians deeply seated hope and assurance of never-ending fellowship with him.
