yeah we're going on a safari hey how you doing out there i'm ranger danger bailey i had to trade in my ranger cap for this uh big old sam brio man i got lost out there and been out there a while i told you don't get out of the jeep my goodness lord whoo hallelujah We done had us a good old time on our safari at Vacation Bible School at Bethel Crossroads Baptist Church. This was all done in one day, June the 10th, 2023, the 21st of Syphon, 5783 the Hebrew calendar, on behalf of Pastor Keith Dempsey and his first lady, Amy. We're located at 450 Iron Hill Road, Taylorsville, Georgia, 30178. As we look and realize that we are truly, truly blessed. here as we get into our fifth lesson in our Proclamation Safari Talk. As we look at our class, it was ages 10 through 11, but we had ages nine, nine through 11. And we had about 13 kids that day. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. We had a great time. Each time that we would have out of our five lessons, each one would be a focus of a word. We dealt with joy. We dealt with happy, happy, happy, happy. Everybody had peace, peace, peace. We can't get no peace. Hope, hallelujah. But then we finally got to lesson five, love. I've been hooked on this one. Love, hallelujah. And so we know that we've got basically four types of love in the Bible, Eros, ipithumium, storge, filio, and agape of all five types of love in the Bible. And so, as we go forward, we gotta get in our Jeep. Each and every one of us, we look at lesson five in our victorious rescue hair. Woo-hoo! Get in the jeep, boys. Come on, girls. We on our trip. A proclamation safari. Hallelujah. Woo! Hey, let's get up and go. Don't get out of the jeep. You gonna get in some trouble if you get out of that jeep. You know what I'm saying? Hey, you know what I'm saying? And so we deal with the death and the resurrection of Jesus. Hallelujah. The victorious rescue. We look and we see that the lion landing, lionel, as we deal with it. Now in lesson one, we dealt with the elephant encounter. Jesus came to rescue the birth of Jesus. In lesson two, we dealt with the koala kingdom. where Jesus rescues by example in the early life of Jesus. Eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh. And so then we see that in lesson three, we talked about follow the rescuer. And so it was the first followers of Jesus, the disciples, Matthew chapter four, verses 18 through 22 that we were talking about. And so, In lesson four, we talked about the gorilla grove, how the power to rescue of Jairus' daughter that was brought back, the lady with the issue of blood. And so the power of Jesus, oh man, I tell you, I think about that movie every time, that Michael J. Fox, amen, and the power of love. Can't you hear that music? And the power of love. Man, if that ain't good. Man, I'll tell you, they don't make movies like that no more. Michael J. Fox and Back to the Future and all. Man, that's good stuff right there. And then of course, you know, the music that goes with it, you can't beat any of that either. Man, I'm gonna tell you. And so we brings us to lesson five of line landing. And so the victorious rescue of the death and the resurrection of Jesus Christ in Luke chapter 23, verses 33, all the way to Luke chapter 24 and to all the way from verses one down to verse six. And we learned that Jesus died for everyone's sins. He was resurrected. And he lives in heaven today that we can be victorious in rescuing you, each and every one of you. We can have victory in Jesus. And so often we know that the lion is the king of the jungle. And most lions, they don't live in jungles. They live in grasslands and they live in plains. And Jesus, the king, lived on earth where he became victorious over death, hell, and the grave, and Satan himself. And so not only Satan's sin and death, and now he resides in heaven. He sits on the right hand of the father. One day he will return victoriously for his church. Now, when we look at this, each of us begin to see the victorious rescue. Jesus gave us that rescue when he died and was resurrected and he lives in heaven now. And so, as we compare an animal to the type of places, people, places, and things. Hallelujah. People, places, and thing, huh? And so here. when we look and we begin to realize that Jesus lived on earth where he became victorious over all of the devil of sin. We look at how that man was created by God and he was placed in a very perfect place where there was no sickness, where there was no death, there was no problems, there was no evil. It was a place of perfection. But God walked with man and he fellowshiped with him daily. It was beautiful. It was a wonderful experience to see just a personal relationship with the Heavenly Father. But man was meant to live forever in perfection with God. What happened to this relationship? Man happened to it. That's what. That's right. God gave the man Adam and his wife Eve authority over the Garden of Eden. And he told them only one thing. One thing. Let me do it three times. One thing. There we go. I got my threes in. And so he told them only one thing, and that was that they was not to eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. And so, you know, that was the one thing that they were not to do. And so from that time and forever, all men would be born in sin and were sinners because our father was a sinner. And we have inherited that sin nature. And so in Genesis 3, verse 15, we find the first prophecy of the Savior. God would not leave Adam and Eve in their sinful state. He made a way for them. to be resurrected from the penalty of their sin. And so he would send a Savior. And in verse 21, God made coats of skin to cover the nakedness in Genesis chapter 3 of Adam and Eve. And he clothed them and he imputed them, believe it or not, as he began to give them that imputing righteousness of God. And so an animal was killed to make those coats. And how ugly the death of that animal must have been to Adam, who had only known beauty from then on. It was a type of Christ. It was innocent blood that would be shed to cover the sins of man. Not the blood of an animal, but the blood of an innocent man. Don't get out of the Jeep, I'm telling you now. Don't get out of the Jeep. And so, hey, look, anyway, we see it was a type of Christ, innocent blood that was shed to cover the sins of man, and not the blood of an animal, but the blood of an innocent man. And the son of God himself would pay the price for our sins. The wages of sin is death. It's an ugly picture. I remember one of the little girls in the class, and I was talking about answering a question about how Christ died on the cross. From all these questions came how that they went through the cardboard jungle, that one day that many of the people at Bethel Crossroads set up and established. And it made all of these kids so inquisitive. It challenged these kids. It planted seeds in these kids. And believe it or not, They whirled the boom on answering all these questions they were asking. And so we see of all the prophecies that were written about the birth of Jesus, his coming should not have been a surprise to anyone. And most of the world chose to ignore or reject him. And so they did not have time for him or his message, his death that was prophesied. Not only the fact that he would die but he also the way that he would die that was written in the prophecy for thousands of years and that little girl was so astonished because Somebody was asking about how that he died on the cross and I told him He suffocated because all of the weight of those nails they had these big old nails over in the cardboard jungle that he went through and the spear of destiny and and these things that begin to inquise these kids in the Vacational Bible Study. And so I told him that after so long of all the weight that was upon the body of Christ, that he suffocated, he breathed, he could not get his breath, continue to get his breath from pushing up with his feet on those nails to get his breath, that after a tiresome while, Our Savior died on the cross, according to prophecy, where no one had to break his legs as they did the other thieves. And so he died the way written in prophecy for thousands of years, and yet men chose to ignore it. How could so many people completely overlook Jesus with all the prophecies that were said about him? It seems impossible, but still it's happening today. And some don't even follow him. They don't even want to live for him. Instead, some would rather live their own way and do their own thing. And so they would rather bask in their sins than live for Jesus. Lionel the tiger. Boy, we've got victory all about the lions. Why did Jesus have to die? The Bible explains it this way, that the wages of sin is death, but the fruit of sin, the payback for it is death. For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. All of these endangered lions, that they are getting extinct as well. because of humans, because of hunters and the grasslands. So our memory verse, he's not here, but he's risen in Luke chapter 24, verse six. He's not here, but he's risen. Ain't you glad that he's risen? Because if he did not overcome death, hell and the grave, we would not have the promise of eternal security. And so we learned that Jesus died for everyone's sins. He was resurrected. He lives in heaven today. Then we can be victorious in rescuing each other because of the victorious rescue, the death and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. So we see that people, places, and things. This fifth lesson deals with Calvary, Golgotha. This is my picture. I made this picture and I made this picture. These are my pictures when I was with John Hagee in 2008. And so, we look at this hill that is a type of the old eroded skull, the place of the skull on the mountain where the crosses were put. Some people say that it's way back down in here. I think not. Well, because when we took communion, when we were up close to Galgotha and Calvary, over near the tombs, that he was buried something like this. We felt the power of the anointing of God when we began to have communion close by this area. And Saul, the king of the jungle, most lions don't live in jungles, they live in the grasslands. Jesus is the king that lived on earth and he became victorious. And he resides in heaven right now. We take our scripture out of Luke 23. And when they would come to the place which is called Calvary, there they crucified him and the malefactors and one on the right hand and the other on the left. And then said Jesus, Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment and cast lots. And the people stood beholding, and the rulers also with them derided him, said he saved others. Let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God. And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him and offering him vinegar and said, if thou be the king of the Jews, save thyself, and a subscription Also was written over him in letters of greek and latin and hebrew This is the king of the jews and one of the male factors which was hanged railed on him Or hang railed on him saying if thou be christ save thyself and us But the other answer rebuked him saying do us not that fear god seeing thou art in the same condemnation In verse 20, 40, 41, and we indeed justly for we received the due reward of our deeds, but this man hath done nothing amiss. In verse 42, and he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, today thou shalt be with me in paradise. And verse 44, and it shalt, and it was about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was red in the mist. And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit. And having said thus, he gave up the ghost. And when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, certainly this was a righteous man. And all the people that came together to that site, beholding the things which were done, smoked their breaths and returned. And all of his acquaintance and the women that followed him from Galilee stood afar off, beholding these things. Verse 50, and behold, there was a man named Joseph, a counselor, and he was a good man, and a just. The same had not consented to the counsel and deed of them. He was of Arimathea, a city of the Jews. who also himself waited for the kingdom of God. Verse 52, this man went unto Pilate and begged the body of Jesus. And he took it down and wrapped it in linen and laid it in a sepulcher that was hewn and stowed where never man before was lain. And that day was the preparation and the Sabbath drew on. And verse 55, lastly, and the women also which came with him from Galilee followed after and behold the sepulcher and how his body was laid. Boy, he's not here, but he's risen. The birth and the death of Jesus had been foretold for thousands of years. The world was looking for a Messiah. And even though scripture was filled with prophecy about him, most of the world did not recognize him. They wanted him. powerful figure but instead they saw a man who told them how to live before God he offered eternal life and the world chose to kill him because of the message that he preached we know that it was God's plan for Jesus to die for our sins and because of his love for us God sent Jesus to die for us and Jesus took the sins of the whole world to the cross and he paid for them there what does this mean to you and I kids today You don't have to die for your own sins. Jesus did that for you and I. He died. He was the sacrifice. He paid a price that was way too high. Amen, David Boggs? David Boggs could sing that song. He paid too high a price. Oh man, what a good song. He paid too high a price. And so the empty tomb is as real as the cross. Jesus was buried in that tomb, but it also was there that he rose from the dead. His resurrection is important to us because Jesus said that we shall be like him. And because he defeated sin and death, we can too. For those who know Jesus as their savior, a home is waiting in heaven. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life Through Jesus Christ our Lord in Romans 6 23 and so when we look we come to our lessons in our application Because every one of us We see the difference of what Jesus can do here when we look at our Bible crosswords The words from our lessons, each of these words pertain to salvation. And as you work the puzzle, think about the importance of each word in a salvation experience, huh? You fill in the grids on the puzzle so that every row, every column, every three by three box contains a different word from our lesson. And there's only one solution to the puzzle. You fit these words into the boxes, some are done for you. So, sin. The cross. Repent. Cross. Repent. Heart. Love. Heart. Gift. Cross. Life. Gift. Gift. Jesus. Life. Life. Gift. Cross. Cross. Sin. Notice. As we look at each one of these, Life, life, heart, repent, tomb, cross, and gift. How that we take and repetitively put the tomb, the sin, the heart, cross, gift, life, repent, Jesus, love, cross, gift, life, repent, Jesus, love, love, cross, repent. Here, each one of these as we go in, We fill in the blanks from the word list. My, his, good people. Jesus died for my sins. Jesus gives us victory over sin, death, and the grave. The wages of sin is death. The gift of God is eternal life. And because Jesus rose from the dead, all who believe in him will also be resurrected. Boy, these are scary lines. We connect the dots. And we see, as we connect them, what comes out across the tomb where they put the body of Jesus. The cross, the tomb where Jesus buried, died, and rose again. And here we see the numbers that we wrote in. I got some ugly writing done. Man, I know I got some doctor in me. Boy, I'm gonna tell you, you can't never understand none of that. but we see that he's not here, but he's risen. And so he's not here. Let me back it up again. We've done it. He's not here, but he's risen. Amen. Thank God for that. Thank God for what the Lord has done. When we do the salvation bracelet and we take each one of these, we color each be the proper color, draw the line to the word and the phrase below. What did we see? We see that there is red, there's white, there's green, and there's gold, black, red, white, green, and gold that goes out. The blood of Jesus, the Christian growth, the heaven, each one of these colors that goes, we draw the verses below to the bead on the salvation bracelet that represents the black of Romans 3.23 and Romans 5.8, and how that the white, the righteousness, and how that each color of the bracelet that was made of salvation. We look and we start here and we go through that you're a sinner. When you follow through the maze, you meet Jesus. And as you go through life, You accept Jesus as your savior. As you continue on the maze, Jesus washes your sins away. You continue on, you become a child of God. As you continue on, you grow in your Christian life. You continue on through the maze, you have a home in heaven and you finish the journey of life. Boy, I thank God each and every one of us. We learned that Jesus died for everyone's sin. Resurrected lives in heaven today that we can be victorious in all that we do. Again, Mark this down the Romans road of what the Lord is doing for every one of us Romans 3 23 all have sinned and come short of the glory of God Romans 6 23 for the wages of sin is death But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord and Romans 5 8 But God committed his love to ward us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us Romans 10 9 that if thou shalt confess for thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thy heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. And lastly, Romans 10, 13, for whosoever, put your name there, for whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. And so, we look at the hand. Hmm. One, two, three, four, five. God's purpose. Our problem, God's provision, our part, and God's promise that he tells us. God's good news of salvation. And so, God's purpose, we were created to please and to glorify God by living forever in a personal, in a loving, in an authentic relationship with him. All things were created by Him for Him. We love because He first loved us. In love He predestined us to be adopted as His sons, though Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will, to the praise of His glorious grace. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all of your soul, and with all of your mind. And this is the first and the greatest commandment. Our problem, number two, our sin separates us from God, who is holy and can only be paid for through death. For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Your iniquities have separated you from your God, for the wages of sin is death. Our sin cannot be paid for through our sinful man, death. a holy God, eternal life, being moral, good deeds, being religious, our sin. Only through a holy God can give us eternal life. And so whosoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. And so three, God's provision Jesus Christ, God's son, died in our place for all of our sin, to save us from it and bring us to God, to heaven. Sinful man, death, but Jesus Christ, the tomb, the empty tomb, and a holy God. That three days after dying, Jesus came back to life, proving who that he is and what his death accomplished, according to Paul's writing, 1 Corinthians 15, verses three, four, and five. So God's provision, hmm, there's one God, one mediator between God and men, and the man Christ Jesus who gave himself as a ransom for all. Christ died for sins once and for all the righteous, for the unrighteous to bring you to God. And God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. God has given us eternal life. This life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life, and he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. John, lastly, John 11, verses 25 and 26, and the resurrection and the life, he who believes in me will live even though he dies. Do you believe this? So it brings us to the fourth part of our hand. God's salvation is received as a free gift by placing trust in Jesus Christ for it, trusting in him completely and only. So sinful man, death, but the faith, the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen, the senses cannot taste it, cannot smell it, cannot see it, Huh? God began to have us take him at his word as we step out on faith. How'd you learn about faith? I saw my mother's faith. And when I saw my mother's faith, I knew what faith was. She showed me what faith was. That if I placed my faith in Jesus, that he could bridge the gap from death to eternal life by a holy God. And so for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. And whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe, listen, stands condemned already. And whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him. And so for it is by grace that you've been saved through faith and that is not of yourselves the gift of God Not by work so that no one can boast The fifth of the hand All who trust in Jesus Christ are forgiven and given new eternal life beginning now in a personal family relationship with God I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned. And he has crossed over from death to life. I've come that they may have life and have it full or more abundantly and give them eternal life and they shall never perish. No one shall snatch them out of my hand, the father's hand. 1st John 5 13 and I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God So that you may know that you have eternal life If you haven't already place your trust in Jesus Christ to save you and bring you to God placing trust in Jesus is that What? Believe in what do you believe in? It actually means what you believe in and all. It is all any of us can do to receive the salvation that God offers. Placing trust is more than being aware of the correct biblical information about God's salvation. Placing trust is more than becoming intellectually persuaded and acknowledging the truthfulness of the biblical information about salvation through Christ. Placing trust is a personal reliance, exercising your will by coming to God in a moment of time in a simple faith to depend completely and only on his son, Jesus Christ, as your own savior. Talk to your parents about it. Talk to your Sunday school teacher. Talk to your pastor. Go to them and say, I want to know about getting saved. I want eternal life. I want to know what it means to be saved by God's marvelous grace. Why not tell God now that you're trusting in his son alone? You tell somebody I got saved by a crazy guy in a beard and a big old sombrero hat and vacation Bible school. You can say something like this. Dear God, I know I'm a sinner. And I understand that I cannot make myself right with you through my own efforts. Lord Jesus, thank you for dying in my place for all of my sins. And I'm in this moment making a decision to place my trust in you completely and in you alone as my savior. And I'm counting on what you did for me on that cross because of your love. for me and your grace as the only way that I could be forgiven of all my sin and enter in to a right personal relationship with God. You ain't even got to say this. Put it in your own words, but believe it and trust it in your heart. God, thank you for giving me the free gift of eternal life in heaven. Thank you for the new life with new potential beginning and through your son, Jesus Christ. Thank you for making me yours forever. But however you want to word it, believe it with all of your heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Every one of us, we can have a victorious victory in knowing that Jesus has given us the greatest blessing. All of us, as we get ready to go our separate ways from Proclamation Safari Park, we have stayed in the Jeep. We have done everything that we can do on this vacation Bible school. Seek out the victorious rescue as we go our separate ways. The sinner's prayer, I leave it with you. Thank you, Father. Send your seed to these young kids. We are so thankful for the Word of God, for Bethel, Crossroads, Baptist Church, and Jesus is Lord in this mighty name. God bless you.
