A Preacher of Righteousness

Psalm 4 - Part of our Bible series in the Psalms.

David shows by his short prayer (vs 1) and by his exhortation to the "sons of men" (we - who are made in the image of God) the need to depend solely upon the righteousness of God alone for salvation.

Being a preacher of righteousness, he exhorts sinners to turn from vanities and to stop using and abusing what God has given them.

Our bodies & our souls do not belong to us, they belong to the Almighty. They are on lease (rent). The Landlord of our souls must be acknowledged. Vanities repented of, pardon sort God's way, as we are all in great debt because of our sin.

God will have mercy and not sacrifice!
