Please - Be Patient!

Patience is a much needed virtue. Our lack of patience manifests itself in numerous ways. We run up credit card bills because we've not the patience to wait until we've saved enough for the items we desire. We rush into decisions before seeking counsel from others or wisdom from above. We become discouraged when things are not moving as quickly or in the direction we had been led to believe they would. Unfortunately, our lack of patience can also cause us to not bear with the faults of others and we end up hurting people with our words and actions.

There are two primary understandings of patience in the Bible. As disciples we need the Holy Spirit to develop both in us that we might show ourselves to be God-glorifying followers of Jesus.
