A Little While Lower Than the Angels

The writer of Hebrews quotes Psalm 8 to encourage the Hebrew church that while mankind, because of Adam's fall, lost the glory and honor that was bestowed him when he was created (i.e. was made lower than the angels), it was only to be for a time. Jesus Christ in His humiliation and condescension too became lower than the angels so we could be restored with Him to our former glory.
