Old Wine in New Wineskins

Our adversary desires recognition and worship. He wants personal contact with humans who will interpret their meeting with him as an experience with the true God whom he hates. Yet he knows that few will become Satanists and attend aa satanic church. So, he has devised another way of infiltrating the American market by repackaging his old lies into new containers. It's called the New Age Movement with its four spiritual flaws. This sermon explores the first: 'You will be like God'. The only way man can accept such a notion is if everything around him is also God, thus pantheism. What is pantheism? How does pantheism differ from theism? What are some practical implications of a pantheistic view of God? How is this philosophy expressed in 21st Century America through the animal rights movement and extreme environmental movement? As believers, we need to beware of the false philosophies lest we be suckered into them. More than ever we need to 'test the spirits to see whether they be of God.'
