"Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for THE LOVE OF THE SPIRIT, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me." —Romans 15:30

1. The Substance of the Spirit's Love
   a. The Spirit's Love for Us
   b. Our Love for the Spirit
   c. His Love in Us for Others

2. The Service of the Spirit's Love
   a. It stirs us to make use of every other gift of the Spirit. (see 1 Cor. 13)
   b. It moves us to pray for one another. (Rom. 15:30)
   c. It produces in us a true burden for the work of God.
   d. It expels the love of the world.

3. The Source of the Spirit's Love
   a. It comes with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit at the new birth.
   b. It is a "fruit of the Spirit" - see Gal. 5:22)
   c. It grows as it is cultivated.
