Lessons from the Flood

Why do we reason sometimes as unbelievers do towards God's Providences? How does God draw us to see His Hand in all that takes place on this earth even the worst of events? Why is it important to revisit these Scriptures that are actual events and not just stories? How was the flood meant to remove any refuge from men except the Ark which was a type of Christ? What is the special calling of the Spirit and how does it differ from the general calling? How is the work 'taken' meant in the sense of judgement and condemnation? Why were His elect not numbered among the children of wrath? What is the trouble with the ungodly? Why is the fear of God an indication that He is teaching you of His Son Jesus Christ? How is even the good man does tainted with sin? Why must sin be punished for God to be a just God?
