you I have a younger brother, and he was the baby of the family, the final child of three siblings, and I have clear memories of him getting away with things simply because he was the baby of the family. One story I've told is when he was angry because Mom had sent us upstairs to our bedroom, and as we reached the top of the stairs to enter the room, he angrily kicked off a boot and it went flying across the room and broke a window. I said, oh boy, you've done it now. Dad is going to bust your butt good. My mom heard the breaking of the glass, and she came upstairs asking what had happened. My brother looked at her with as straight a face as he could muster, and he said, I don't know. I was just stomping as I came up the stairs, and I must have stomped so hard that I broke the window. I just laughed out loud until I noticed that my mom was actually pretending to buy that story. I protested, there's no way you could break a window by stomping up the stairs. It's ridiculous. I saw him throw his boot across the room and break the window. For whatever reason, my mom acted like she believed his story. I know she knew better, and the only reason I could ever figure that she pretended to buy that story was because she didn't want my brother to get the whipping of a lifetime from my dad, who was a black belt spanker if there ever was one. We just laugh about it today. My brother turned out fine, and he's one of the best men you could ever meet or get to know, in spite of his tall tales to get out of trouble as a kid. But as amazed and astounded as I was when I saw things like that happen with my baby brother, it's comparable to how blown away I am when I see things happening in creation. And then I'm told by evolutionists that it just happened. I'm sorry, but that's just a stupid response. We've talked about irreducible complexity, the intricacies of the eyeball, and even the amount of amazing design evidence found in the function of a single cell. And every time I come across things like this, it's another moment where I see evidence for God. For example, I recently read of a thing called buzz pollination. I'd heard about it before, but never really paid close attention to it. But I found out that nearly 10% of all plants have their pollen tightly locked away, making it impossible for the pollinating insects to get at the pollen, with which then they would disperse it and so forth. Now, amazingly, these plants can only be opened by a buzzing sound at a certain frequency. They literally have an organic security lock that can only be unlocked audibly by a buzzing sound at a specific frequency. And how did that develop? It just happened? Come on. Evolutionary naturalism is just absurd. I've read about the Virginia Meadow Beauty. The photos showed a prickly looking pink flower with something like short spaghetti noodles protruding from its center. The pollen remains locked up and even when honey bees or other buzzing insects fly around and land on it and search, they can't get to the pollen because they aren't buzzing at the right frequency. But then, along comes the bumblebee. And the bumblebee buzzes at the frequency of middle C. And only the bumblebee does so. And that is the code, so to speak. Middle C opens the anther to release the pollen. and only the bumblebee buzzes at middle C. Isn't that amazing? And we're told that it just happened. There's no designer behind this design. I mean, it's just ludicrous. I just can't imagine anyone looking you in the face and telling you that with a straight face. It takes the skill and ability that my brother demonstrated through his boot across the room. You know, and I could believe that story my brother told about the boot stomping on the stairs breaking a window before I could believe that all this just happened by accident or natural processes. And I believe that any honest person, they'll just open their eyes, they'll see the evidence for God all around us, even among the flowers and the bees.
110 Buzz Pollination (Evidence For God) Our Daily Greg
When we look at what is called "Buzz Pollination", we see design and the necessity of the Intelligent Mind of God behind such design. When unbelievers say, "It just happened," it reminds this preacher of the fibs his brother told to get out of trouble more than 40 years ago!
