Life and character of John Owen #2

528

John Owen is worthy of our attention because of his example as a Christian man, his brilliance as a theologian, and the enduring value of his written works.

Here we follow him from the end of his tenure as Vice-Chancellor of Oxford University, through the difficult years of the Restoration with its many particular challenges, to his brave death at Ealing in 1683.

Then we turn to a survey of his character, considering his brilliance, diligence, godliness, humility, wisdom, peaceableness, and conviction.
