Concerning the virtuous excellence of morality; the motif "areten" – (Greek) for "moral
excellence, adding to formed questions: a) What is moral excellence? After the descriptive nature of moral
excellence; followed by second question: b) why, the need for moral excellence? Because i) moral excellence
is an expected virtue – by "supply"; its means – believers already possess this quality. This already serves as a
reminder of God's gracious works of regeneration – Eph. 2v1 – 3. And, as a reminder of God's transformative
work of sanctification – Eph. 4v17 – 20. Proceeding then, giving the second reason ii) Moral excellence is a
distinguishing virtue in critical days (Isa. 5v20ff, II Tim. 3v1 – 9, Rom. 1v18 – 32 & I Tim. 4v1- 5). iii) Moral
excellence must be rooted in God's Moral will. Recouping the principles considered – A) Marks of virtue B)
Manner of Virtue; Concluding the study of Virtuous Excellence with – C) the Exclusive Quality of Virtue – To
be supplied is and must be "excellent in nature". The kind of virtue that's transcendent, different and extremely
good. An attribute that's unmistakably Christlike. And the attainment of this is not possible without the "true
knowledge – v5". A concept that's next in the line of study.
