Replace Abram With You! God, in Genesis 15, answers a critical question

348

I just want stop here and ask that you be in prayer for our Pastor. As I am writing this description tonight, June 27, 2019, I got a call that Pastor Chronister is back in the hospital. I don't have any details, but it's his heart. Please, every one of you who are reading this, stop and pray. I don't care if you listen to the lecture or not; just pray.

There's been three lectures before this one that try and deal with this Behemoth, Genesis 15. All the animals mentioned by God in this passage are referencing a sacrificial animal that is a foreshadowing of The Great Sacrifice Himself, Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God. Jesus Himself told us to search the Scriptures, John 5:39. He said, “...they are they which testify of me.” And Genesis 15 is probably the most important passage that Jesus wants us to look into. It testifies of Him.

Hopefully, as we go through these lectures, the totality of what God is telling Abram will make sense to you. In fact, our pastor tells us to consider what is being said to Abram, as though God is speaking directly to you. Replace Abram with you. Verse 8 would be you saying to God, “How can I know that I'm saved?” You'll find His answer to your question starting in verse 9. The first thing God tells you is, “Take Me...”. And now you've got to figure out what He is telling you about Himself and His plan of salvation, when He tells you about what to do with these animals. And... the really fantastic part is what God does next.

And that's why this pastor is so important to us. He actually helps us to see the wonder of salvation all throughout the Bible. Study with us. You'll be glad you did.
