Actions to Build a New Society

Paul's purpose is to change the understanding that Roman Christians have as to who is significant and who is not significant in the life of the church. All believers in Christ's church have a role to play and it is Christ who determines those roles. He does so by distributing spiritual gifts; gifts which are to be used for the benefit of the church.
