Upwardly Mobile Alone

We do not thrive in isolation but rather when we live and work in caring, supportive community. In Eccl. 4:1-16 the Preacher calls us to live in terms of "we" not "me."

I. In this life oppression is a
perverse evil (4:1-3)

2. Work motivated by envy is futile
   (4:4-6)

3. Supportive community excels
   hardworking isolation (4:7-12)

4. Advancing to the top alone is
   fleeting (4:13-16)
