Provoked Easily?
Series Charity and its Fruits Series
175
Charity adds life and vitality to the best gifts. The best gifts are useless without charity. Why is it important to consider that charity 'is not easily provoked'? In exercising our gifts, we can be roused to anger, wrath, and indignation. We have among our examples Moses and David. Moses was provoked by the people and struck the rock twice. David was ready to wipe out Nabal, and was graciously prevented from doing so. Charity is serious, patient, governs its passions, and restrains its temper.
