King Joash began well and ended badly, why? Fundamentally because he was a weak-minded man who lacked character and needed to be led by others. At first, led by High Priest Jehoiada, he showed a devotion to God's house, but after Jehoiada died he departed from God, led astray by foolish counsel, and was destroyed. How different is Christ!
