The Promise of Life to Sinners

Sin lies at the root of all our problems, separating us from God. To borrow from Augustine, we were created able to sin but now after the fall, we cannot do anything but sin. All our thoughts, desires, and emotions display a constant and unending hostility to God. Genesis 3 provides the foundational perspective on our sin. This sermon begins our look at the teaching of Scripture on sin. The point of this series is not to wallow in our sin but to guard us against false ideas of sin and magnify the grace of God.
