A Compassionate Savior

Why does the LORD draw His people aside? How do we see that chastening from the LORD is an act of His love to take our eyes off ourselves and look to Him alone? Why did He take His disciples aside into a desert place to remove them from the limelight and cause them to thirst after Him? How does Christ heal them that have need? How does this passage show Christ as the King, the Sovereign, Who has compassion on His people and their need?
