Closing points of emphasis in the work of Jehovah's Servant

The latter half of this twelfth verse, of this amazing portion of Scripture, contains a Closing Summary of the work of Jehovah's Servant. It seeks to draw together, for our consideration, all the different strands of thought that has occupied the evangelical prophet as he has dwelt upon this glorious subject.

This closing summary places considerable emphasis upon a number of highly significant aspects of the work of Jehovah's Servant. They can be called Points of Emphasis.

These points of emphasis are designed to register afresh, and that continually, in our minds, the central purposes of this amazing work.
It is these Points of Emphasis that we desire to commence considering this communion sabbath morning.

There are five in total:

1. The vicarious nature of the sufferings of Jehovah's Servant is strongly emphasised once again. The word 'because' is a most interesting term.
2. The extent of His sufferings is emphasises once again - he hath poured out his soul…
3. The depth of His humiliation is emphasied once again - he was numbered with the transgressors…
4. The purpose of his sufferings in emphasied - he bare the sin of many
5. The continuation of His high priestly work is emphasied - and made intercession for the transgressors.
