A Strange Name

God's most commonly used name in the O. T. is "Elohim" This refers to his sovereignty and to the fact that He is one God yet three persons. His sovereignty is clearly manifested in the fact that God created all things from nothing in the space of six days and providentially sustains His creation throughout history.
