Navigating Life with the Lord: A Word to the Graduate

Introduction: Welcome & Celebration
We're so glad to be home and gathered today with family, friends, and our church body to celebrate Hunter's graduation. This moment marks an achievement—but more than that, it's a launchpad into a new chapter. As we honor Hunter, we also want to speak blessing, truth, and guidance from God's Word over his life.

1. Life Is Full of Landmarks and Lessons
   Just like our trip to Disney reminded us—navigating life requires teamwork, awareness, and wisdom. Lauren knew the layout; Blake booked the rides. Both roles mattered. In life, we need guidance and strategy—but more than that, we need God's perspective and presence to truly navigate what's ahead.

2. Psalm 1: The Blessed Man Has the Right Perspective
   The world operates on what it sees, feels, and demands—the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life (1 John 2:16). But God says the blessed man does not walk in the counsel of the ungodly. The ungodly may not be evil—they may simply live without God. But you cannot live rightly if you live without Him.
   • Don't just take advice—ask, Is this rooted in God's Word?
   • Don't settle for feelings or trends—seek what is true and lasting.

3. Keep Your Eyes on the Path
   The Scripture says, "Ponder the path of your feet" (Proverbs 4:26). Know where you've been, where you are, and where you're headed. Like a GPS guiding us home through Pine Apple, Alabama, we may not know every turn—but God sees what we can't. Trust Him to guide you step by step, even in the dark.
