The Premise of the Great Commission

With great frequency we find the Great Commission of our Lord quoted beginning at Matthew 28:19, "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations..." But to begin the quotation here is to miss why the "therefore" is there for. The foundation upon which the Great Commission is built is the Absolute Sovereign reign of King Jesus. In this first of two messages we consider the "premise of the great commission." It is our intention next week to preach on the "precepts and promise of the Great Commission."
