As God was bringing the nation Israel out from under bondage from Egypt, Moses and the people of Israel were standing on the shores of the Red Sea. They had no where to go. They were completely hedged in by the Red Sea in front of them, boulders on one side and the Egyptian army behind them. They could only look up and depend on God for their temporal salvation.
