Let's Give Miriam Leprosy? And burning coals on someone's head!? That's Helping?

350

We last left our hero dangling from a Cliff...side. Okay... that's our pastor attempt at humor. But he does leave us at the end of practically every lecture with unanswered questions and this sick feeling. And now he is telling stories about his childhood to emphasize that he always wants us to take what he gives us and study it out for ourselves... and it has worked pretty well, especially for those of you out there in Internet land. You are very special to us, in case you were wondering. But enough of the mushy stuff. We've got some learnin' to do.

Omniscience requires Omnipresence. You can't know everything unless you are physically present everywhere. Omnipresence requires Omnipotence which requires Omniscience which requires Omnipresence. Now you have a valuable piece of doctrine. Remember this when you read about Jesus Christ in the New Testament.

But we left off with Miriam at Numbers 12. She was immediately leprous upon the departing of the pillar of cloud. That's much like the departing of the Shekinah Glory from the Holy of Holies in Ezekiel 10, and probably for the exact same reason. They were putting pagan symbols inside the Holy place; in case you were wondering.

If you weren't here last week our pastor will catch you up, so you can find out about what's going on with Miriam, but he still hasn't really answered why she was given leprosy. And pastor was asked to briefly explain Romans 12:7-21, and Miriam is the place to do it. But "briefly"? It would take seven weeks to begin to explain it. So, he gives us a list. Now you can solve it on your own. Have a nice day. Okay, he does gives us a bunch of questions to work with.

But back to Miriam...
