The Kingdom Siphon

While generosity is a Kingdom norm, Paul teaches a vital Kingdom truth in this passage, namely, that you cannot manipulate people into being generous. He shows the importance of focusing upon the heart because if giving is going to be fruitful for the Kingdom, it must flow from a heart of generosity. We then understand the importance of Paul's focus upon the heart when he explains why God gives such bounty.
