"G(odly)-Rated Christian in an X-Rated World

Advertisers know that sex sells. We are bombarded every day with sexual images that portray sex as a harmless extramarital activity that will enhance one's marriage or life. And many Christian leaders, men and women have ruined their lives, marriages, and testimonies by giving into to sexual temptations. For our adversary knows the power of sex as a means of luring us away from our devotion to Jesus Christ. So how can we be G-Rated Christians in an X-Rated World? We need to first of all challenge the foundational lie that 'All things are lawful for me', that is, I can do whatever I want. The lie of self-gratification. Truth is, not all things are beneficial or bondage-free. Secondly, we need to submit every area of our lives to the lordship of Jesus Christ. We have a choice as to who we will obey--the Lord or our lusts. Thirdly, in the face of temptation, we need to RUN as fast and as far away from the source of temptation. Finally, if married, we need to focus on meeting our spouse's needs so as to 'affair-proof' our marriages. By doing these simple steps, we can be G-Rated Christians in an X-Rated World.
