How the Coin Was Found

How then does the woman in our Parable go about to try to find the silver coin which she lost?
She lights a lamp, she sweeps the house, and finally she searches carefully for it until she finds it. It is this last phrase that we will think about more carefully at this time. It is perhaps true that a child or a young person or anyone else who attend regularly the services of the local church, may not really have understood the gospel. After all, the truth is something which must be revealed to them by the Holy Spirit.
