Sermon Point: Recognize Christ’s authority.

Sermon Outline:

1. Early in Jesus’ ministry, the temple is filed with animals and moneychangers (13, 14)

2. Jesus makes a whip, drives out the cattle, and overturns the money tables (14).

3. He also authoritatively commands the moneychangers to get out His Father’s house (14).

4. The Jews challenge His authority and Jesus predicts His resurrection (18-19, 21).

5. Misunderstanding Him, the Jews mock Jesus (20).

6. But in the end, the disciples recognize Jesus’ authority (17, 22).

Conclusion: Recognize Christ’s authority.
