No big deal. Everybody does it. And so just because you claim to be a Christian, everybody else in business does it. Everybody else in the world does it. And so it's no big deal. Nobody's going to even notice that you do it. Nobody's going to notice that you're different because you're just being like everybody else. And so what happens is over a course of time, we start to excuse sin. It all started with a thought, didn't it? Temptation always begins with a thought. starts in our mind and one theologian has said that almost everything that we notice, almost everything in our lives is a battle for our mind. And in our text, Matthew chapter four, if you're with me there, we'll read it if you would. And you're able to stand with me out of reverence to God's word. Jesus confronts every area of testing that we encounter in our daily lives. We'll start reading in chapter number three at the very end of chapter three in verse number 16. So we get the context of our text. Matthew records this, he says, And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water. And, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting upon him. And, lo, a voice from heaven sang, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward a hungred, And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Then the devil taketh him up. into the Holy City, said him on the pinnacle of the temple, saith unto him, if thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down, for it is written, he shall give his angels charge concerning thee, and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. Jesus said unto him, it is written again, thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God, again, The devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and showeth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them, and saith unto him, all these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, get thee hence, Satan, for it is written, thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Then the devil leaveth him, and behold, angels came and ministered to him. Heavenly Father, again, we thank you for the day. We thank you for your word. We thank you for this place, this church that is faithful to your word. Lord, we thank you for this opportunity to gather here to receive encouragement from your word. We pray today, Lord, that the spirit would indeed descend upon this place, that you would speak to your people, to your saints. Lord, we know that in this world, it's a battle. and that every person here has difficulties, has trials, has afflictions in body, in mind, in spirit. Lord, we pray that your spirit would minister to us today, minister to me. Lord, we need a word from heaven that would comfort us, that would correct us. Lord, that would move us into the right path, that we would be encouraged and strengthened as your people to carry your message to the places where you place us in our daily walk. Lord, we pray that you would do a work that only you can do in our lives, in Jesus' name, amen. Thank you for standing, you can be seated. As we think upon this text, this scene that's brought before us, I've titled the message tonight, The Triumph of Jesus. Your Bible may have this, the temptations of Christ, or the three temptations of Jesus, but I've titled the message tonight, The Triumph of Jesus, for indeed this is a triumph, but I want you to notice that right at the very beginning of this text, that it is the Spirit that leads Jesus into the wilderness. We so frequently think that When we undergo trials, when we undergo temptation, or when we undergo testing, it is because we're somehow out of the will of God. It's not always the case. Certainly it can be the case, but it is not always the case because Jesus is never outside of the will of the Father. He would never be outside of the will of God. He is, in fact, led by the Spirit. He is led directly by the Spirit. That's why I read the end of chapter 3 to you in your hearing. I wanted you to see that He has just been baptized and He went to great lengths, as you know, to be baptized. He walked miles to be baptized of John. And upon this We have one of the great testimonies of the Trinity. We have Jesus the Son being baptized. We have the Father speaking in an audible voice from heaven. And we have the Holy Spirit descending in the form of a dove. And the father's voice says, this is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased. There is no chance that Jesus is out of the will of the father, but yet notice the very next event in the earthly ministry, the opening of the earthly ministry of Christ. He is led into the wilderness to be tempted. And this temptation comes from Satan, but notice that it is under the control of the spirit. Ah, But he's not the first, is he? We have one of the earliest books in the Old Testament, Job. Job was tempted, not because he was out of the will of God, but because he was in the will of God. Have you considered my servant Job? Satan didn't initiate that testing, did he? God initiated. And God told Satan, you can only go so far ahead. Does Job serve you for naught? You've put a hedge about him. Well, you can touch him, but don't touch his body. When Satan comes back, well, of course you won't let me touch him. You can touch his body, but you can't... See, even the testing of Job is under the supernatural control of the Father. We know Joseph, not my subject for tonight, but Joseph is sent to Egypt. You meant it for evil, but God meant it for good. Was he tested out of the will of God? No, he was tested and tried because he was in the will of God. John the Baptist, the forerunner of Christ. not tested out of the will of God, tested in the will of God was he not. Jesus suffered in the will of God, not out of the will of God. He is led directly by the Spirit. This is the Spirit of God that participated in creation in Genesis 1. He moved on the face of the waters. This is the Spirit that separated the waters from the waters. Think of the earthly impact. In his humanity, Christ was led by the Spirit. In Matthew 1, just a few pages back, you see that Jesus is conceived by the Spirit. The angel announces to his that which is conceived of her is of the Holy Ghost. He is commissioned by the Spirit. We read that in Matthew 3 verse 16. At his baptism, the Holy Spirit anoints him to begin his earthly ministry. In Matthew chapter 12 and verse number 18, you see that he is covered by the Spirit. This is the fulfillment of Isaiah's prophecy and God says, I will put my Spirit upon him. He is confirmed by the Spirit again in Matthew 12, verse number 28. He casts out demons, and He Himself says, if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, Where does he get the power to cast out these demons? He says, from the Spirit of God. He says, that's the evidence the Kingdom of God has come to you. He is connected to the Spirit in John 3, in verse number 34. He whom God has sent speaketh the words of God, for God giveth not the Spirit by measure to him. He has all of the Spirit. He's quickened by the Spirit. literally raised in 1 Peter 3 and verse number 18. He was confessed by the Spirit through the resurrection. It is His resurrection by the Spirit that God says is the evidence of His faithful sacrifice. Oh, it's not finished there. He has communicated His message. He says, through the Spirit, in Acts 1, verse number 2, He, through the Holy Ghost, gave commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen. He charged others through the Spirit. His commission to others, Acts 1, verse 8, you shall receive power after the Holy Ghost has come upon you. You shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, the uttermost parts of the earth. This is the same Spirit, the Holy Ghost, that is controlling this entire scene. Is He being tempted? Sure He is. But He is triumphant because He was led of the Spirit. Fully controlled by the Spirit. At the end of the scene, we'll just jump to the end. I'll give you the conclusion at the beginning in verse number 11. You see that He is comforted by the Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit that sends the angels as the messengers. Again, Matthew 1 and verse number 21, it is the angels that are taking the message of the Spirit to his parents. In Luke 1 and verse number 35, it is the angels that come and say the message of the Spirit. Gabriel, the announcing angel, what does he do? He carries the message of the Spirit. And the hosts of heaven sing. And what is their message? Peace on earth and goodwill towards men. This is the same spirit in this temptation that is available to you. He has been sent. He is the comforter. He is the one that confirms the people of the Lord. Temptation can only be faced in the power of the Holy Spirit. Christ faced these temptations in the power of the Holy Spirit. You see, Jesus has just walked miles to be baptized of John the Baptist. The Father has said He is well pleased. The Holy Spirit descends in the form of a dove. Jesus is doing exactly God's will. And you can be doing exactly God's will when temptation comes. Luke says he is full of the Holy Ghost in Luke 4 and verse number 1 in his account of these very scenes. But Satan can only tempt you when the Lord permits it. He has no more authority than what he is allowed by the Heavenly Father. And so when temptation comes, when your testing begins, oh, if you're like me, if you think like I do, We put on our self-righteous rags, don't we? You see, when good things happen to me, I'm being blessed for my faithfulness. When good things happen to you, it's probably because you're cheating and just haven't got caught yet. Do you think that way? And when bad stuff happens to me, it's just because my faith is being tested. I'm such a good Christian that God's testing my faith. He's trying me a little bit. When bad stuff happens to you, well, we just all turn into Job's friends, don't we? Well, just confess your sins. That's why bad stuff happens to you. You just need to get right with God and start confessing. Don't we think that way? This is how it happens in my house. When temptation begins, when temptation begins, the three areas that we face are the same three areas that Jesus faces here. God doesn't provide. We question God's love. God doesn't protect. We question whether or not we have hope. And God doesn't keep His promises. God isn't faithful. So let's look at those three. The first one. God doesn't provide. You see, we find this trial. We find this temptation in verse number three. The tempter comes, and he tells Jesus, if thou be the Son of God, command these stones to be made bread. I want you to understand the situation here. The situation here is Jesus has been fasting. He's been in the wilderness for 40 days. 40 days and 40 nights fasting. John actually tells us that he's been 40 days of temptations, and these three temptations just come at the end of those 40 days. So these are the final three temptations that Matthew is recording for us. So he's been 40 days fasting. You ever make any life-altering decisions? when you're hungry. I don't recommend it. Go without food for about 8 hours or 10 hours. I mean, some of us might not want to go without food to the end of service, right? You got your snack bag with you? You ever get a headache if you don't eat? You can ask my wife. If I go about 8 hours, I mean, I can go 8 hours without eating. I'm not gonna die. I'll be okay and live off the fat of the land for a while. I'm not gonna die, but you know what's gonna happen? I'm gonna get a headache. You ever heard that word hangry? You know what that means? You get a little grouchy when you get hungry? Let me tell you this, when the blood sugar level starts to decrease and the irritation level starts to increase, probably not a good time to make life-altering decisions. Don't go without food for four days and decide to quit your job because you want to take up a new career. Not good timing. Don't pick out your spouse after you haven't eaten for four days. you're not thinking straight here. Okay, let me just give you some practical advice. Don't make life-altering decisions when you're not in a good frame of mind. Because you're really disorganized. You go without food for 40 days, you're probably dead. I mean, it takes a lot to do that. Your decision-making ability is highly altered, highly suspect. And so in that frame, look at the accusation that Satan makes. If thou be the Son of God. Tempter comes to him and says, if you're really God's Son, why are you hungry? You can do all these miracles, right? If you're really God's Son, you created everything. Isn't that what John said? If you're really God's son, why have you been hungry for 40 days? God's not providing for you. You ever feel that way? God doesn't provide. You were supposed to be born King of the Jews, right? Isn't that what John said? Isn't that what the angels said? I know you. You were the guy that was born in a barn. Did your parents ever tell you to close the window and ask you if you were born in a barn? My dad used to say that all the time. Were you born in a barn? Jesus was born in a barn. Hey, wait a minute. You're a king, right? If you're really God's son, weren't you supposed to be king? You were afraid of Herod. Your mom and dad took you off to Egypt. You ran because you were scared of Herod. What kind of king are you? You're the carpenter's son. You're not God's son. Oh, yeah, yeah, and then Herod died. We know the story, right? Herod died, and you were down in Egypt, and you thought it was safe to come back, but you didn't come back to Bethlehem. You went to Nazareth. What'd Philip say? Can any good thing come from Nazareth? You ever met somebody that was from the wrong side of the tracks? Oh yeah, he's from the wrong side. He's from the wrong side of town. Don't hang out. Did your parents ever tell you who you could have friends and who you couldn't have friends with? Now they're from, that boy's no good. You can't hang out with him. He's from the wrong city. He's from the wrong high school. He's from the wrong side of town. So here's the temptation. You've been forsaken. God's not providing anything for you. You've been left alone to starve. So why don't you just command that these stones be made bread? See, the temptation here is why don't you forsake God's plan and provide for yourself? Does this sound familiar? We do that all the time, don't we? Every one of us. You see, we don't encourage our kids to grow up and follow the Lord. We encourage them to grow up and be doctors and lawyers and all that sort of stuff, don't we? Well, I can't go be a missionary. I can't go be a preacher. I can't sacrifice Friday nights or Saturday nights and teach a Sunday school class because I've got to go hang out with the guys from work because it's going to help me move up at work. I've got to get the next promotion. I gotta get the next door open at work. I can't do that. I can't serve God because I gotta go get more money. I gotta buy a bigger house. I gotta go have a better car. I gotta have a bigger job, a better job. You know how we do it. Oh, it's not the same exact thing, but it's the same principle. We don't trust God to provide for us, so we try to provide for ourself. Jesus won't have anything to do with it. So what does he say? It is written, right? Man shall not live by bread alone, but every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. And what is he saying? He says God's word is more important than trying to provide for yourself. Matthew 6.33, seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. Jesus is just quoting Deuteronomy 8, verse number three. You know what he says to his disciples? He says, I have meat to eat you know not of. Jesus calls himself the bread of life. What's he saying? God's got this. God's gonna take care of me. God provides everything I need physically. because serving Him is more important. Our sustenance comes from recognizing that provision is from God, and any time we put our physical needs ahead of our spiritual needs, it is sin. Whatsoever is not of faith, Romans 14, 23 says, is sin. If it's not of faith, it's sin. We try to provide for ourselves, I'm not saying, trust me, I'm not saying quit your job. I'm not saying that advancement and getting a raise is not good. I've gotten a lot of those in my time, okay? But what I am saying, if that's your focus, instead of serving the Lord, we need to adjust priorities. Second temptation, we find it in verse number six. Notice this one. The second temptation, if thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down. If you're God's son, cast yourself down, for it's written, it is angels' charge concerning thee. In their hands they'll bear thee up, lest any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. So here's the situation. They're in the holy city. They're in Jerusalem. We see this in verse number five, the devil's taken him up into the holy city, that's Jerusalem, set him on a pinnacle of the temple. You notice something there? Jerusalem is the city of seven hills. They are, anytime you read in the Old Testament, it doesn't matter if you're north or south or east or west, it doesn't matter which direction, you're always going up to Jerusalem. Jerusalem is a high place. It's on the mountains, it's on the hills. You always go up when you're going to Jerusalem. When you leave Jerusalem, you're always going down. It's a high place. One of the highest places in the city was this place. The temple. And he's on the pinnacle of the temple. It's one of the highest places there is. You can be tempted in a high place? Yes. You can be tempted in a holy place? Absolutely. You can be enjoying all of the benefits of being in a high, holy, lofty place, and you can still be subjected to the temptations of Satan? Absolutely. None of us are exempt at any time. And here's the accusation again. Notice, if, if you're God's son, you gotta prove yourself. If you're really God's son, prove it. Just prove it, because Satan never come to you and say, if you're really God's child, you gotta prove it. I don't believe it. God don't love you. Satan never talked to you that way. He hits me with that all the time. If you're really a child of God, prove it! Because God doesn't love you, and God's not gonna protect you. That's the accusation. Did you see it there? If you're God's son. Both of these, if. If you're God's son. If you're really, if you are. And notice here the temptation where Satan begins to misquote Scripture here. He's misquoting Scripture. He's misquoting from Psalm 91. What does he say? He gives his angels charge concerning thee, They'll bear thee up, lest any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. But you see, if you go back and you read Psalm 91, Satan omits the phrase, in all thy ways, the ways of God. If you're walking in the ways of God, then he's going to protect you. When a child of God is in the will of God, he can depend upon the Father's protection. He can depend upon the Father's care. And by the way, he didn't even start the quote at the right spot. You need to start that at verse number nine. Verse number nine, because thou hast made the Lord, capital L, capital O, capital R, capital D, he's talking about Jehovah, because you have made the Lord, Jehovah, which is my refuge, even the most high, thy habitation, because you worship Jehovah, the same God I worship, there shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. Wow, don't you wish we had some folks that had read that the last few years? That word plague is literally the Hebrew word for disease. There's no disease coming near your house when you serve God. Just going to leave that there. If you make the Lord thy habitation, you put your trust in Him. He'll protect you. from anything, from everything. And so what's Satan doing here? He's misquoting scripture, trying to twist scripture around and get in your head. God don't love you. Are you really God's child? God's not protecting you. You ever feel that way? The issue here is when a person willfully gets in trouble, he's tempting God. He's misquoting, he's questioning, Which here's part of the point Jesus is making. We need to know the attacks that Satan gives to us. This is the same technique that he's been using all the time. It's the same technique that he used in the Garden of Eden on Eve. Genesis 3 verse number 1. In the garden. The serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God made. He said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, see they're questioning the word of God. Hath God said you should not eat of every tree in the garden? Then he misapplies scripture. Look at the second lie of Satan. Genesis 3, verse number 4, the serpent said to the woman, you're not going to die. You eat that fruit, you're going to die. You're not going to die. God lied to you. For God doth know in the day you eat thereof that your eyes are going to be opened. Yours shall be as God's, knowing good and evil. Satan comes. He tells Eve, did God really say that? God told you you can't eat of that fruit? Well, he said we can eat of everything except for that one. Why? Because if we eat that one, we're gonna die. You're not gonna die! God lied to you! You ever think God doesn't tell you the truth? You're not gonna die! God's holding out on you! He doesn't want you to be like Him. He doesn't want you to become a God like He is. God's holding you back. God don't want the competition. Now, isn't that what our society tells us all the time? You can be your own God. I mean, all of our little angel children are born and they're gods of their own life, aren't they? That's what this is a case of right here. Satan tells Eve, you can be the God of your own life. And God just told you that because he don't want to cut, this is nothing more, sounds like a Democrat, don't it? It's a big man holding a little man down. Don't you let that big man hold that little man down. So here's the solution. What's Jesus say? It's written. Again, he's quoting Deuteronomy 6. Shall not tempt the Lord your God. Jesus already knows that he's under divine protection. He knows that Satan's twisting the scriptures. He knows Psalms 34. There's not a bone gonna be broken. He's not casting himself off the top of the temple. Jesus knows there's not gonna be any cheap grace too, doesn't he? He knows the purpose he came. That's why these temptations are going on. Hebrews 9 verse 12, Not by the blood of bulls and goats, not by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. If the blood of bulls and goats and the ash of a heifer sprinkled in the unclean sanctifies the purifying of flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to the serving of the living God? Jesus knows why he came. He came to shed his blood, not to jump off the top of the temple. And so Satan's gonna try to twist scripture, and Satan will try to twist scripture against you. He'll take a portion of God's word out of context, and it's always dangerous, it always leads to a false conclusion regarding God's will, and it will always lead to a wrong direction for our lives. Satan will try to have you think that God doesn't love you. Let me get to the third one. God doesn't provide, God doesn't protect. The third temptation is God doesn't keep his promises. We find that in verse number nine. Here, verse number nine, Satan saith unto him, which is Jesus, all these things will I give to thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. is fall down worship me I'll give you everything so here's the situation now he's on the top of the mountain we don't know which mountain is likely it's the Mount of Olives but it could be Pisgah the mountain where Moses was taken and got to overview all of the promised land could be Mount Sinai where Moses went to meet with God himself and took in the law We don't know which mountain it is, but all of the kingdoms are now in view in one single moment. It's a real temptation. Three times, Jesus refers to Satan as the prince of the world. Paul called him the god of this world. The author of Hebrews, in Hebrews 2.14, says that he had the power of death, and so this is a real significant temptation. The accusation here, notice he says, God doesn't love you. He's not going to keep his promise. He takes him to this high mountain, shows him all the kingdoms of the world, and says to him, all these things I'll give thee if you'll fall down and worship me. Notice the change there. The first temptation, if you're really God's son, why are you suffering? The second temptation, if you're really God's son, you gotta prove it. The third temptation, there's no question. Yeah, you really are God's son. But it's all for nothing. It's all for nothing. It's useless. It's meaningless. Yeah, you can be God's son, but he's not gonna promote you. He's made promises that he's not gonna keep. You ever feel that way? Yeah, I know. I know. God's made promises. Seems like God keeps His promises for everybody else. I just don't know if He's going to keep them for me. That's how this one applies to us, doesn't it? Yeah, there's no more, if you're God's son, why are you suffering? There's no more, if you're God's child, then prove it. But if you're God's child, it just don't matter. So he doesn't ask him if you're God's son, it's just, you know, if you're God's son, you don't have to go through all this. Just take the easy way out. God's not gonna keep his promise because God's not faithful. He's not gonna promote you. In other words, you're not gonna be returned to the position of ruler. You're not gonna be returned to the son. Think about the significance of this particular trial. Oh yeah, it's not the first time these two, can I say spiritual beings, have met. Now I understand the hypostatic union. I understand that Christ has two natures. He has a human nature and a spiritual nature. But this is not the first time those two have met. Where have they met before? In heaven. Before Satan was cast out. I mean, Jesus is eternal, right? He was there before Lucifer was created. He was there when Lucifer was cast out. And so this, being a real temptation, Satan says, hey, I'm the ruler here. This is my territory. This is my turf. Look at all the glory of all the kingdoms of everything that I've acquired. Yeah, the father, God, kicked me out. I've done pretty well for myself, haven't I? I'll give it all to you. Why are you doing down here with me? Oh, he knows. He knows the answer to that question, right? He's here to redeem His people. That's what Matthew 1 verse 20 says. You'll call His name Jesus for He shall save His people from their sins. Oh, but Satan's trying to interfere with that. Understand. Satan's trying to interfere with your life as well. So why don't you take the easy way out? Why don't you bow down and worship me? Because If Jesus would bow down just once to Satan, just one sin, just one time, then Jesus would no longer be sinless and he's no longer able to be our Savior. And so Jesus gives him the solution here. There's no pretense in Satan's mission this time. There's no if, just a direct assault. He's trying to assault God's character. You notice the twist that time? If you are God's son, you don't have to go through struggles. If you're really God's son, then give us some evidence because, you know, God's not really providing for you or maybe God's not protecting you. This third one, God's not gonna keep his promises. That's an assault on God's character. Now he's assaulting God. an open and unashamed enemy of God. And so Jesus just says, get away. Get thee behind me. Get thee hence. He says, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve. By the way, he's quoting Deuteronomy 6 again. Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God and serve Him. I'm reminded of James chapter 4. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. That's an example to us. We need to understand that Jesus himself was tempted And Hebrews tells us, in that he himself has suffered being tempted, he is able to succor them that are tempted. That's why he went through this. Seeing then that we have a great high priest that is passed into the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. Because Jesus went through these things, we must hold fast our profession. For we have not a high priest which can't be touched with the feelings of our infirmities, but was in all points tempted like we are. but without sin. What is he saying? God is faithful. We have a great high priest. There's no shortcuts in the Christian life. There's never an easy way to spiritual victory. There's never an easy way to spiritual maturity. So don't you be surprised when Satan comes and tests you. But do take comfort in this. Satan can test you no further than God allows him to. And Satan cannot test you in any way different than Jesus himself was tempted and triumphant. Satan was devious to Jesus. But the author and finisher of our salvation was tried. He was tempted, but he was triumphant in those testings. Jesus wasn't exempted from temptation. He suffered in every point like we are so that he could be our faithful high priest. Temptation came to him at the worst possible time. It attacked his physical weakness. When he was 40 days fasting, Satan never attacked you in a physical weakness. Don't be surprised. He did the same thing to Jesus. Take courage that you've been counted worthy to be tempted for the name of Christ. Satan preyed upon a spiritual necessity of Christ. And it condemned him in his closest relationship. It said, the Father doesn't love you, and the Father doesn't protect you. The Father will not promote you. But Jesus met each of those temptations with a clear teaching of the written word of God. He says three times, it is written, it is written, it is written. I just wonder if we know our Bibles. When we face temptation, we just have to know where the sword is hung. We gotta know our scriptures. Jesus only, in this temptation, only quoted from one book, Deuteronomy. In fact, he only quotes from two chapters, chapter six and chapter eight. He knows where the sword was hung. He doesn't let his physical needs come ahead of his spiritual needs. He wouldn't allow Satan to get the upper hand by twisting scripture. Christ doesn't allow himself to be tempted and take a shortcut to spiritual blessings. Rather, he recognizes the source of temptation. He resisted each of those temptations. He removes himself from the source of those temptations. Notice verse 11. He's rewarded. The angels. After the devil leaveth him, behold, look, the angels came and ministered to him. The Spirit is available. The ministry is available. The promises of God are available if you are tempted.
