Job chapter 21. If you thought that was suffering going through that, where did we get to Job? Oh, that's right. You were singing, not me. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I think when I was singing to myself, I thought about it. I thought I was singing out loud or something. Job 27. Or 21, 21, I said 21. We're gonna start at verse seven. Let me get myself squared away here. Job 21, verse seven. Wherefore, it says, do the wicked live, become old, yea, are mighty in power. Now Job's answering something about people in sin here. He said, their seed is establishing their sight with them and their offspring before their eyes. And if you'll notice that thing that it's got, you see people doing this all the time. This is wicked people he's talking about. He says in verse nine, their houses are safe from fear, neither is the rod of God upon them. Why doesn't God chasing them? He don't chase other people's children. And it says, their bull gendereth and faileth not, their cow calveth and casteth not her calf. They send forth their little ones like a flock and their children dance. They take the timbrel and harp and rejoice at the sound of the organ. They spend their days in wealth and in a moment go down to the grave. Therefore they say unto God, depart from us for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways. I want you to back up to verse number nine. Their houses are safe from fear. Says, neither is the rod of God upon them. I wanna preach to you tonight on the thought of what are you afraid of? What are you afraid of? Now everybody is afraid of something or some things. Some people are afraid of the dark. I've heard people say that they could cut the light off and be in bed for the bulb, goddamn. I thought that's impressive. I've heard people say that they're not afraid of certain insects or reptiles, and those of us with good sense are afraid of them. It's a healthy fear. But when you attach phobia to something, that means you have an unhealthy fear of it. I assure you tonight, to all the sodomites that's watching this broadcast, there is no homophobic people in this entire building. We do not fear you nor anyone like you. Your lifestyle does not make us fear and tremble. I'm gonna tell you why. You have a sin problem. We had a sin problem in the past. We're not afraid of sin. However, we're afraid of the one who punishes sin. And if you'll notice verse 14, therefore they say unto God, depart from us, for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways. If you ever learn his ways, you quit fearing everything else and fear him. You quit fearing the government and you quit fearing the police. Ever since I got saved, I've not had a problem out of them. I mean, I just, listen, I got off their radar April 7th, 1994. I quit carrying dope in my car, didn't have to look over my shoulder anymore. Listen, quit drinking and driving so I didn't have to go, do I need a breath mint and all this other stuff, why? There was no danger of it no more. Now I kid with my wife in the car, I said, honey, be careful, there's a law behind us and the law will be waving at us. It's like, you just ruined it for me. I was wanting to get over here close and be scared, right? See, they know, they know. Walked into the hospital the other night, craziest thing. Everybody did not have a mask on. I thought, what has happened to the hospital? They have gone, the Democrats are probably losing their mind. The doctor walked up and spoke, and I thought, this is gonna get bad real quick. And then the doctor walked out and the police walked in. I thought I knew there was a catch, and then I realized that was the man who used patrol near my house, and he wouldn't come in there and won't speak to me. I thought, you know, I remember a time when these guys used to scare me to death. A lady asked me about her uncle. They said, you did know my uncle when he was on the police force. He washed cars on the side. I said, we weren't friends when he was on the police force. She said, I thought you've been friends a long time. I said, we have been. But the 20 years prior to that, we weren't. I said, in fact, the first time he ever come heard me preach, I kind of entertained the idea of giving an honorary set of my keys to my old duster since he searched it so many times. You know, he never had a problem out of me after I got saved. He thought I died, probably. Then I ran into him one day, and before I could say anything, he said, look, I got saved. He's going to tell me that's why he wasn't going to jump on me. I said, look, I got saved, too. And I wasn't going to let you anyway. I was going to run because he's gotten big, you know, and I was a little bit smaller than him. And since he's not here to defend himself, you'll just have to rest with that and wonder who I'm talking about. But anyway. As we look at this text, it says, their houses are safe from fear, neither is the rod of God upon them. There's a reason why people don't fear God, they don't know him. And they told him in verse 14, we don't have nothing to do with you, nor finding about your ways. We know by verse seven and eight, he's talking about the wicked. So I again ask you, what are you afraid of? Let's go to the Lord in prayer. Father, we love you tonight. God, we thank you, Lord, for letting us be here and be alive. And we pray, God, that you'll move and do a great work in our hearts and lives. Help us, Lord God, to take in the scripture tonight and that we may understand it by the Holy Spirit of God teaching us the book. We pray Psalm 119 verse 18, open thou mine eyes, thou may behold wondrous things out of thy law. And we pray tonight you'd help me preach according to 2 Timothy chapter four verse two, to preach the word, be it an end season, out of season, reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and doctrine for us. In Jesus' name we pray and for his sake. Amen. What are the things literally tonight that the things of God do people in sin not fear? Well, there's only a couple of things we're gonna see tonight, but if you look over in Job chapter 15, Job chapter 15, just a couple pages back, Job chapter 15 down at verse 21, you'll see some things tonight. Their houses are safe from fear, right? That's what it said. Eliphaz is the guy talking to Job here in Job chapter 15 verse 21. A dreadful sound is in his ears, in prosperity the destroyer shall come upon him. When? In prosperity. The Bible says in Romans chapter two that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance. If God does not get your attention through that point, you'll see him at this one right here in verse 21, in prosperity. When somebody is wicked and ungodly, and they do wicked and ungodly things with wicked and ungodly people, and they're seemingly to be blessed, the Lord's trying to reach you, friend. I've heard people say, well, my car was turned upside down, I'd rolled down a bank, and this had happened, and God got my attention. No, God's in the prosperity trying to get your attention. The goodness of God leads to the independence. Then comes that stuff. But I got news for you, if God does that thing and it's not your carelessness, then it's probably not God doing that, that's your stupidity, not his. Or it could just be some kind of accident, who knows. But I do see this thing right here in prosperity, the destroyer shall come. God will finally back up and say, go get him. He'll turn you over. And he's not done that out of malice or spite, he's been good. And God is good, God's good to the saved and the lost. The very fact, listen, if you ever realize that your body's just held together by a thread anyway, and you're just a bunch of dirt and water and blood and a couple of bones sticking around that you don't just fall apart one day, you'll thank God for your existence. I've heard people say, well, when you get older, this, that, and other. No, if you got old, you got tough. You got tough along the way, and you've realized something. You've been looking up a whole lot more than you've been looking down. You realize God did that thing. If you'll look over at Psalm 73, Psalm 73, the next book of the Bible there, Psalm 73. Look down at verse 19. After the prosperity comes, then comes this. Psalm 73, verse 19. Surely thou did set them in slippery places, thou castest them down into destruction. Who put him on that slope? Well, they kept saying, we don't want to hear about you, God. He was good to them. Then the destroyer came and God set them in a place of destruction. You need to learn to fear God. God can take you out of here at any time. I've heard people say, well, now all you guys do is preach a hateful God. I ain't said he's hateful, I said he was good. but God will not put up with you forever. There will come a time he will stop all that goodness and he'll let the destroyer come and you'll be on a slippery place wondering what happened. Third thing tonight, Isaiah 57, if you look over there, Isaiah 57, Isaiah 57, as we see this one, your Bible says in Isaiah 57, Down at verse 19, he said, I create the fruit of the lips. Peace, peace to him that is afar off, and him that is near, saith the Lord, and I will heal him. But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt. I heard a guy in the Navy tell me one time, when the hurricane come, there was no atheist aboard the ship. He said, when you see 20 foot waves hitting that boat and it don't overturn, you believe God then. He said, when that thing comes crashing in and you're supposed to be out there on sentry duty and you can't be relieved, you gotta stand out there with that stuff going on, he said, you tie yourself to something and start praying. He said, I don't care what flavor you are, what country you from, in the north or the south or the east or the west of the United States, he said, you get a hold to God real quick when a storm hits that ship like that. I thought how many countless bodies are at the bottom of the sea that they waited to that last second to start praying to God on something. You know, back before they had these nice cool metal ships, and wonder how many of them's on the bottom because of it. And here it is in verse 21, there is no peace, saith my God to the wicked. You know why? There's a war going on. When there's a war going on, usually you know the combatants. Most folks that are lost than religious without being saved, they think they are fighting the devil. They're fighting God Almighty. There is no peace, saith who? Saith my, G-O-D, with a capital G, to the wicked. Why is that, Isaiah? Well, see, they have went against God. They have opposed God. They said, we don't have nothing to do with you. And he kept being good to them, but he finally said, you want war? I'll bring war to you, if that's what you want. And he has. I've heard people try to justify certain wars of being part of this, that, and other. I'm not talking about them. I'm talking about between you and God. Just that. Just that alone. And everybody who suffers through something like this and gets to the other side of it finally says, you know what? The day I got saved, I got peace. Where'd they get it from? The war's over. Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace came and listen, got both parties together and made reconciliation. And when he done that, it brought peace to your life for the very first time. But to the wicked, there are things of God that people in sin do not fear. Number one thing is people in sin do not fear God's conviction. They don't fear it. They have never feared it. They don't fear the conviction of showing them they are wrong in the sin they live in, and they say that, and they wanna tell everybody how tough they are, and how proud they are, and how nobody's gonna tell them what to do. But I promise you, people in adultery do not bother with God's conviction. In fact, they'll tell a lie so many times that they believe it. You ready for the lie? God put us together. God put us together. It don't matter, God put us together. Well, you need to repent of that wickedness, get right with the Lord, and quit lying to yourself. Because God does not believe it. He's the one said thou shalt not. You're the one crossed the line. You say, but everybody agrees with me. I don't care if everybody agrees with you. If God disagrees with you, you're in trouble with him. There is no peace saith my God to the wicked and God will not sit back and let saved people get by with it. But the lost, well, he don't crack them. He just lets them go. They sow wickedness, they sow ungodliness and that stuff. They mock the Word of God. They tell everybody that tries to say something, don't you preach to me. Oh no, we would never dream of it. I mean, after all, your pride just, you know, it's overwhelming. You must be right. Or could it be that God's right and He's the one who took His hand back and said, go right ahead. God will do that. He'll let you run the thing till it hits the bottom. Another crowd that comes along in sin that doesn't fear God's conviction is sex perverts. See, nobody calls them what they are. A man with a man is a sex pervert. A woman with a woman is a sex pervert. A man wanting to be with a child is a sex pervert. You're not a pedophile. You're not a homosexual. You're a pervert. What is your perverted from? Something normal. Listen, I don't want to hear how I thought she was 25 and she was 14. I could care less. And if it was my daughter, they would never have to worry about finding you for the trial. I did not say I would do anything. I just said they wouldn't have to worry about finding you. I don't want to implicate myself in case something goes down, you understand. But all my children are over 18. But I'm telling you, if it was my son and a woman was taking advantage of him, I'd feel the same way. I've heard for too long how people say, well, these kids nowadays, I don't care what they look like. If you hear a rumor your mother loves you, you better go ask her. You better check all the references, get all the facts, find out if all that that's been said is true, and then double check your facts. and make sure they haven't been manipulated for you. Right now in America, we think half the population's either transgender, sodomite, or something like that. They done a poll recently and asked these people, said, how many people do you think in America are sodomites? And the poll said 30%. The census of the United States of America in 2020 said 3%. You say, I didn't fill out one. You lied, you did fill out one too. Because then people come to your house, and they'll bang on your door, and they'll call your phone. They're going to get their answers. But listen to this. This so-called transgender crowd, they asked him out, and he said, hey, people in America, they think it's that. And they said probably at least 20% to 25%. They found out through the census less than 1% are so-called transgender. And by the way, I haven't said anything publicly about this, so I'm going to say it now. You are a sex pervert. You want to go in the locker room with a bunch of girls? You're a sex pervert. Girls don't wanna go locker room with a bunch of boys, sex pervert. But I identify, no, listen, you are what God made you. I don't care how many surgeries or how many preferences or whatever pronouns you like. God made you one way, that's how you still are. I don't care if you said, well, I got the surgery where I got all the right parts. Your DNA still says to you, you're a man or a woman, and you still think like a man or you still think like a woman. You don't believe me? Go get Bruce Jenner riled up. He'll try to fight you like a man. Ain't that something? They asked Donald Trump, said, what are you gonna do if Bruce Jenner comes to Trump Tower and wants to use the bathroom? He said, I don't care about Bruce Jenner using the bathroom. I don't question people in on the way of the door. And I thought, why avoid the question? Why not tell him no? Tell him he needs a mental institution, not a bathroom. That's a sex pervert. And a woman that would stay married to a man that wants to be a woman, she must be one as well. She's demented. There's something wrong mentally there. And listen, the reason why people are sitting there saying, I don't know if you should preach this preacher. They're putting that on the internet. I don't care. Nobody's saying nothing about it. If I go to heaven and face God, at least I'll say, well, at least I tried. It's in the book, we're looking at it. They don't fear God. Second thing that people in sin do not fear, and they never fear this, is people in sin don't fear God's correction. There's two reasons why. We do not correct others' children. I don't come up to your kids and snatch them up and take my belt off and wear them out because they're not my kids. And I've never understood why people think that they can correct other people's kids, but they always leave theirs alone. I don't get that. Why not correct your kids? Why not, instead of you talking about my kids, how my kids act, why don't you go get your kids and take care of them? Be real easy to do. They're right there, just grab, just reach out. Reach out and touch someone. Introduce them to two things they'll never see coming. Your hand and your love. Because this book says in Proverbs, if you don't chase them then you don't love them. I don't care how much you cater to them. Oh, but you gotta make them. I said, whoa, you mean if the police can't make them pay, I got to? And I ain't got a gun, sorry. Then I found out something about those little TV rental places. One day, the guy that was over the thing came in. He was a Texas oil man. You'll never guess what them businesses are set up to do. They're set up to fail. They're set up to lose money for a tax break for some oil baron somewhere. How about that? I knew there was a catch somewhere, because it was just too stupid to give credit to people that wouldn't pay money. I thought, that's got to be a scam some way. And then they fired me for repossessing stuff, and I was the repo man. Figure that thing out. We can't make money with it in here, right? We can't make money out there with it, so what are we doing here? Something's bad wrong with that picture. My friend, listen. We don't correct other people's children, and we don't coerce other people's children. Let me talk to you for just a minute about something that's going on in your country that you refuse to look at, and you keep sticking your head in the sand, it keeps getting worse. It's called groomers. They're alive and well in America, and they're after your children. There's a reason why these sex perverts are trying to groom your children for this wicked, ungodly, abominable lifestyle. They cannot reproduce, so therefore they have to recruit. Well see when I touch you there and you feel that, see that means you're a sodomite. No it doesn't, that means you're a pervert and you know how to listen to physical responses from somebody. That doesn't mean anything. And usually it's coming from these school teachers and stuff like that trying to influence these kids. A man up there and up north was teaching at a university and this guy walked up to him and said, I don't identify by those prayer bands. He said, I don't care what you identify by. So for four years he had to fight his own administration staff at school and sued them and won $450,000. Good for him. Stand your ground. They said, why do you feel like this? He said, it goes against my Christian beliefs to call a man a woman or a woman a man. Or a non-binary. That don't even exist. You might as well call yourself Spider-Man at that point. Because he don't exist either. Oh, I'm sorry. We got children here. I'm sorry. Spider-Man is not real. Amen and amen. It's killing them. Listen, but we saw him on the screen. I want you to notice that people that coerce your children, they don't need to be given social justice medals. They need to be put in the jail. They need to be put in the sheriff's jail. Let him take care of them. There are laws about this stuff, but nobody's enforcing them. In about 10 years, if we don't stop this now, you will not recognize the United States of America. I still ain't figured out how you can burn a flag and get away with that one myself, and I know that's a law. The only time I'm fortunate, you wrap a liberal up in one and set it on fire, that's the only time. Amen. They hate us so bad, why don't you go live somewhere else? Y'all want to be Russia, go live in Russia for a while. Y'all want a communist nation, go live in one of them. Go to Venezuela, live down there for a little while. You'll get down there and notice that nation is half populated to what it was in 2008, because they're coming up here. They're not coming up here because, hey, we see the promised land. They're trying to get away from tyranny and dictatorship and communism. And these dummies are letting them in the open border down there thinking, well, when they get up here, they'll vote for the Democrats. No, dummy, they won't. They'll realize you're a communist, and they'll be voting the other way. It's going to happen. It's amazing all the reports of the Hispanic vote swinging Republican. Sometimes they just want to be done fair, and that's what they come to here for. But there's another problem people are not wanting to talk about down there, and this is the one that really gets me. We're letting criminals over that border. How does a man shoot somebody and kill them in Virginia? We deport him and he comes back in Wisconsin and rapes and kills a woman up there. That's why we need to stop that. That's why we got these systems set up to vet people before they come in. By the way, just so you'll know, that the majority of the guys that were on those 9-11 attacks in 2001, they came up through the Mexican border. Fake IDs. Slipped across the border. They looked at them and said, are you Egyptian? No, sir. No. Español. And they said, well, come on. You do remember who's president then, right? And then two years later, boom, boom, boom, all this stuff's happening. Why'd that happen? Well, it seems that we've forgotten our identity even back then, 21 years ago. The only time I've ever seen Congress get together in my lifetime was when they stood on the front porch of the steps singing, God bless America, God bless America, that next morning that they all stood together and it didn't take but 24 hours for that unity to be gone. is arguing over tax bills the next day. How sorry are we? See, people in sin don't fear God's conviction and they don't fear God's correction. If God tells them no two men can't marry men, they get all up in arms about it. They'll fight God if he was standing here. But wait, he's not here. They'll fight you because you represent God to them. Don't you judge me is the next thing out of their mouth. Not judging. But if I were to be your judge, we'd all be dead, so don't worry about it. If I were God, we wouldn't have made it this far, so thank God we got a loving and compassionate and gracious God that sticks his arm out still. Notice this last one. People in sin do not fear God's church. They don't fear God's church. Here in Greenville, South Carolina this morning, we had Drag Someone to Church Day. having a drag queen deliver the message at a Lutheran church in Greenville this morning. And listen to this. It's like everybody's okay with it. You know what I've noticed? When the liberal newscaster sits down at the desk, if they don't agree with something, as soon as they get it out of their mouth, they give you 10 minutes of why they don't like it. But something like that, they're gonna say it and go right on like it's normal. Where's your talking heads at now? Listen, where is your Tucker Carlson's at right now? Where is your Judge Jeannie at right now? Where is your Sean Hannity right now? God give us people that'll speak up against this. Where is your preachers right now that's not saying anything about it? It's running in front of the public going, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop. Well, when big preacher showed up, let's go to the house. Let's get back to preaching the Bible and start helping people out and preparing our people for what's coming, because it's already knocking on our door now. Here a while back, there was a Baptist pastor in town, went to a gay wedding, had pictures all over Facebook. Next week, he's preaching how he's against it, but that wasn't what he was looking like with him two men in his arms like this. Better be careful when you're out of town, because listen, what happens in Vegas don't really stay in Vegas no more. Everybody's got a picture phone and a video phone now. And listen, what's shocking is, is people tried to tell me how conservative that guy was. I said, are you kidding me? He said, oh yeah, he stood against this, stood against abortion. I said, let me get my phone, I'll show you something he don't stand against. Well, he preached about it. I don't care if he preached, does he live anything? Does he live anything? Listen to this. The reason that people in sin do not fear God's church is because they are not part of the body because they're not in the body. You'll hear people in sin make this very statement. Well, now I don't have to go to church to be a Christian. That lets you know they don't even know how to become one right there. That lets you know automatically they don't even know how to get saved. Well, I have my devotions at the house. And then what your social media page says, says you're to the lake drinking beer. Them half-naked women you keep sending out, they don't say you love Jesus. They say you love lust. And you better be careful how you entertain that stuff, because before long, that stuff will flip you over to the other side. Now listen to me carefully. Look over 1 Corinthians 6. 1 Corinthians 6. 1 Corinthians 6. 1 Corinthians 6 down at verse 9. Now notice this, it says, This kingdom of God builders we got in this day and age, it's talking about building the kingdom. you're kinda out of the wrong time. You're not building the kingdom. Listen, everybody historically who said they wanted these have been bloody killers. From the Spanish Inquisition to the Roman Catholic doing that, through all that stuff for the last 2,000 years. If they're kingdom builders, they're bloody killers. So what's preventing them now? The army and the police, believe it or not. He says, be not deceived by this crowd that's not gonna inherit the kingdom of God. When's the kingdom of God? It's coming. When you get saved, you get it inside, but it's not out here yet. You know how to prove that? Where's your king? We sing a song, it's called the king is coming, that's because he's not here right now, but he is coming. So if we're building the kingdom of God, we're on the wrong team. Think about all you liberals that say that, you say it's conservative. And then it says, nor abusers themselves of mankind, and that's not a prostitute, because God spells out prostitutes and everything else in other places of scripture, and it points out these abusers themselves of mankind, that is your sodomite crowd who do that right there. Tell you something, when you're 14 years old and they call in police, they say, we got one up here done thieved in our store. And that guy comes in there and he puts him cuffs on you. He takes you out, shoves you in that car, and there you go down the road. He don't care who's watching or nothing else. He takes you down to jail house and he says, what's your name, boy? I ain't no boy. Well, you are now, because you all cuffed up nowhere to go. And he tells you, listen, they caught you, they got you on film. Go ahead and tell them your name. And when you don't, guess what they're going to do? They're going to bring a big fat cop in there that you thought was out of shape. They keep him on the job, so he can lay on top of you while they take your wallet out and figure out who you are. And he's going to say, his name is, and they'll read his name out. And then they're going to call your parents and say, we got him up here locked up. And your parents ain't gonna say, oh, that's my baby, he wouldn't have done nothing wrong like that. Because they're gonna have to pay to get you out. And some parents are so stupid, they will keep paying to get them out without correcting them over and over and over and over. And then they got to pay for a gravestone one day. Because they've enabled that child to be, they've set them up to fail. And listen, sin don't care which sex you are. They don't care whether it's a daughter or a son acting like that. They just keep doing it over and over. It's a sad thing. He says, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor covetous, and people covet after everything you own, nor drunkards. Did you see the word drunkards right there? Did it say a glass of wine drunkard or a case of beer drunkard? No, it just said drunkard. God classifies it as one thing. This bunch that tells me they can drink wine and be okay, you need to look up drunk and drunkard in the Bible. But you need to see at the bottom of this verse that they shall not inherit the kingdom of God. He said, these people shall not inherit the kingdom of God. And he says, they're not getting in. There's no booze party in heaven and there's not one here along the way. Wrong crowd. When God says that not to put wine nor strong drink to your neighbor's lips, he means the cashier at the store as well as the drunk in the alleyway back there. And it says here, drunkards nor revilers. You know, I never had anybody fuss at me street preaching until it was up there in front of that Carroll Hotel up there, or not Carroll Hotel, what's the name of that place up there? Where Harold Tindall's is, that commercial hotel. Boy, they was hollering at us at the windows on Sunday afternoon. We just woke up, y'all shut up! At three o'clock on Sunday afternoon. If you've laid in bed till three o'clock in the afternoon and ain't got a job, there's something wrong with you. I hope you've been sick. They kept on, they called the police on us. Police come up there and saw what was happening, went back, he pulled off, and I thought, he's going to get help. But I thought, whatever. He come back with six ice cold drippin' bottles of water for that July day and said, let him have it, son. So we let him have it. He said, maybe if you win a few of them, I'll have to quit foolin' with them. Had to lock that crowd up every weekend. Hear their sad tale that they can't find a job. It's hard to find a job when you're drunk and your eyes is crossed from it. It's hard to find a job when you ain't lookin'. If you call a contractor right now and say, I need work done here, he'll say, I can't get to it for a month. Usually they can get you in about a week. Now it might be a month if they can get somebody to work. Sober them up long enough to get them to work. We're in bad shape over this stuff. And when you tell them they need to straighten up, they revile you. And it says revilers nor extortioners. You know what an extortioner is? That's like a child that forces the parent to do what they say or else. I'm gonna tell you what, if I have one like that, we're gonna find out what our else is. Because I'm gonna tell you something, you live in my house, you ain't dictating to me. If I'm paying the bills, I'm dictating to you. If it's gonna be a dictator, it's gonna be me. And I don't mean that being mean or nothing else, but I am sick of watching these kids boss their parents around. When I was growing up, we had a solution for that. You know what it was? You think you a man, let's go out in the yard and find out. So me and my cousin jumped on him one time, he whooped both of us. We didn't try that no more. Two on one, we lost. We was men. Daddy, be a man. Stand up to them. Tell them, look, I don't care if you 18 or 80, you ain't talking to your mother like that. Stand up, make them do right. Oh, but they'll get mad. Really? You don't think I got mad when we got hooked like that? I got over it. I had to eat. That gets a lot, listen, that gets a lot of anger to go away when it's time when you need something to eat. People in sin do not fear God's church because they're not in that body. He names off all these things they shall not inherit the kingdom of God. None of them. But yet we make excuses for every one of them. They're practicing their free will gift. I said, free will gift? They're not blatant sin. They're in rebellion against God. Well, they'll come around one day. Really? Do you pray like that? That God might would do something? See, you gotta ask God in faith to do something. We have so little faith in America, because we've got these little email devotionals and one verse and three paragraphs of a story that's trying to tell us, be a good person today, and it's not working. We need to chunk them paragraphs, get back to reading the Bible and believing what God said, and if we lack faith, take in more of the book. You know why they don't? There's no fear there. There's no fear of God in their eyes anywhere. Their life shows what lineage they're of and it shows who their father is. Let me give you a little illustration that's always so true. If you waddle everywhere you walk and you quack everywhere you walk, I got it from a good source that you are a duck. If you can't produce wool and you can't call out for the shepherd and you're still quacking over there, you're still a duck. But the problem is nobody wants to believe that they're a duck. They want to thank their sheep while they're doing this right here. I've never seen a sheep walk like this. Listen to me. These people are afraid of something and they're not afraid of God. You know what they're afraid of? What their friend thinks. What society thinks. Listen to this. When I started preaching, I had to realize something. Either I'm going to preach what God says or what people like. That's the only choice I had. And I looked at that. People had told me that. And I said, Lord, what do you want me to do? He said, preach what I say. Here it is right here. All of it's right here. Preach the whole thing. It's real simple. And then I had to ask God this question. Lord, what if they get mad at me? And then I read Luke 23, Mark 15, Matthew 27, John 19, and I thought, they didn't like him either. At least they ain't killed me yet. At least they hadn't plotted to kill me because of envy. And I got to realize something. Everybody's got a cross. Everybody's got a cross. What are you afraid of tonight? You afraid somebody's going to see you on camera? Well, guess what? We didn't turn the camera on the crowd. You afraid somebody's going to hear you shout this one, even something like this online? And going, can we turn the mic up where I sound loud when you've done it? So you caught. Listen to me. What are you afraid of? What are you afraid of? Are you afraid of these people? Listen, Jesus said this, you better be fearful of him who can destroy both the body and the soul in hell. Don't worry about this crowd out here. They'll come and go. In 10 years, there'll be no Joe Biden. There'll be no Nancy Pelosi. They'll die. They'll go on. There'll be no Barack Obama. They'll be all gone away. There'll be a new crowd. And if you fear them, it'll carry over to them. But if you fear God, you won't worry who's in charge above it. You won't worry about who's doing what. You'll say, Lord, what would I have me to do? And you'll surrender yourself to the crucified one. You'll take up your cross daily and follow him. You'll deny yourself. You'll wanna do what's right because there's somebody inside you that's not you, that you think it's you. Bless your heart, but it's not you, it's him, and he wants to do right. Don't ever think that I'm a good person, because I'm not. If you really knew me, you'd think I was one of the most horrible people you ever met. But see, all that goodness that you may think I am is not me either, that's him. And all the goodness that you think's you, that's not you either, that's him. That's why we like each other here. We don't just love each, we like each other here. I can honestly say that. And I've had to admit to myself, I don't really like you for you, I like you for him. That's why we got such a diverse crowd of people. I remember him getting saved, he was saying, I've never smoked cigarettes but I'm going to hell. Okay, we all headed to hell before we get saved, right? But then they get saved, we like them. We've had the uppity and the lowly and the in-between and you know what we found out? It's him we like. And that love, joy, peace, all them things that the Holy Spirit does to a person, that's what we like. We just put up with the rest of it. And listen, the reason we do that, we all have the same fear and it's singular. We just fear the Lord. I don't want to face Him knowing that He loved me the way He did and I didn't do what He said. So are you afraid of a whipping? No, I'm afraid of tears. His tears. Why didn't you do what I said? Why didn't you go tell that person? Why didn't you preach that message? Why didn't you sing that song? Why didn't you get up and serve me while you had the health and the chance? I met a man about 20 years ago that had both knees replaced. First time I'd ever talked to somebody that actually had that done. And he said, the saddest thing is, he said, about the knee replacement was this. I'd never heard this before in my life. He said, the saddest thing about this is I can't get down on my knees and pray. He said, but I didn't while I had health, and that really bothers me. He said, now I can't. I was in my 30s when the guy said that, and I thought, man. Wouldn't that be something to sit around one day and have your leg taken off? You can't get down and pray no more. Had to pray laying in that bed now or laying on that couch. Had to pray, listen, had to pray sitting down somewhere because you can't kneel down no more. Who do you fear tonight? Let's stand with every head bowed, every eye closed.
