Hello, my name is Steven Lee. I'm the founder of SermonAudio and today is actually a very special day in our family, in our household. Today was the day of our daughter's marriage. We're reminded in Genesis chapter 2, actually in verse 24, that, Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife, and they shall be one flesh. That word cleave is a very strong word. It has the idea of sticking together, like glue. And so strong of a word is this, that it actually goes on to say, they shall be one flesh. This word cleave is the same word that's used in Joshua chapter 23 verse 8, where it says that we are to cleave unto the Lord. Again, the same strong word. This reminds us that we are to leave that which is behind and we are to cleave to the Lord with all of our heart. And may this be a lesson for us all. A wedding, every time you see a beautiful marriage ceremony, it should be a picture of the union that we should have with Jesus Christ. God bless you. I want to take the opportunity in this VLOG to celebrate the marriage of our daughter on May 7, 2024. Genesis 2:24 reminds us that a marriage is about leaving that which is behind and cleaving to one another. It is a picture lesson of the unbreakable union that God's people enjoy with Christ.
