Hannah's Prayer

Have you ever thought about how much God says about prayer? In Jeremiah 33:3 God exhorted His troubled prophet, “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.'” The Apostle Paul in his sentence sermons in 1 Thessalonians 5 tells us to, “Pray without ceasing.” Even the Lord Jesus Himself said in His Sermon on the Mount, “But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.” Matthew 6:6.

Prayer is important to God. We will consider this morning the account of Hannah, the mother of Samuel. We will discover the importance of prayer, particularly a mother's prayer.
