Be People of Perseverance

Sermon Point: Persevere; don't shrink back from Christ.

Outline:

1. The proud and the arrogant are not right with God (Habakkuk 2:4a).
2. The decree of judgment against them will not fail (Habakkuk 2:2-3).
3. You must remember the gospel of righteousness by faith (Habakkuk 2:4, Galatians 3:11, Romans 1:16-17, Hebrews 10:37-38).
4. Don't throw away your confidence in the gospel of Christ (Hebrews 10:35-36, Galatians 3:11, NPP).
5. God has no pleasure in shrinking back; this is the posture of the proud (Hebrews 10:38b, Romans 1:16-17).
6. Christ will come to judge the proud and vindicate the righteous (Hebrews 10:37 and 39).
