The Singing Lord

Last year we did the fourfold use of Psalm 22 in the crucifixion story of Jesus in Matthew 27. The most famous of these is Psalm 22:1, associated forever just before the death of Jesus. This year, we find another use of Psalm 22 that speaks of the Second Coming of Messiah—which will be very surprising to some. Nevertheless it is true: Psalm 22 not only speaks of the death of our Lord, it also speaks of the Lord's return.
