He That Humbleth Himself Shall Be Exalted

The theme of our first evening of preparation for the Lord's Table is one of HUMILIATION. We consider our need to humble ourselves before the Lord. We see in the parable of the Pharisee and the publican, the difference between a self-exaltation in prayer and a deep humiliation before God in prayer. But, moreover, we see the answering of prayer for God's mercy:
